Trump Offers Immunity to Iranian Forces Who Lay Down Arms Amid Escalating Conflict

    Yugcharan News | March 5, 2026

In a dramatic development during the ongoing Israel–Iran Conflict 2026, United States President Donald Trump has announced that members of Iran’s security forces will be granted immunity if they surrender and stop fighting. The statement was directed particularly at members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and Iranian police forces, urging them to abandon military resistance and align themselves with what Trump described as “the right side of history.”

The announcement comes at a time when the conflict between Iran, the United States, and Israel has intensified significantly, with missile strikes, air raids, and drone attacks reported across several regions of the Middle East. The war has already resulted in heavy casualties, widespread infrastructure damage, and increasing fears of a broader regional escalation.

According to reports emerging from Iranian sources, the death toll in the country has risen to more than 1,230 people since the beginning of the coordinated American and Israeli attacks. The figure includes military personnel as well as civilians who were caught in the crossfire of airstrikes and missile exchanges.

    Trump’s Message to Iranian Forces

In his statement, President Trump directly addressed Iranian security personnel, offering them legal protection if they decide to abandon their posts and cease fighting against US and allied forces. The proposal specifically targets members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which is considered one of the most powerful military institutions in Iran.

Trump’s message urged these forces to “lay down their arms” and choose peace instead of continuing to support Iran’s military resistance. He emphasized that those who cooperate would be spared from future prosecution or retaliation.

Political observers believe this announcement is part of a broader strategy aimed at weakening Iran’s internal military structure by encouraging defections within its security apparatus. By offering immunity, the United States hopes to create divisions within Iran’s defense forces and reduce their willingness to continue fighting.

However, the proposal has already generated significant controversy and skepticism among international analysts. Many experts question whether Iranian forces, particularly the IRGC, would ever consider accepting such an offer given their strong ideological commitment to the Iranian government.

Iran’s Response: Readiness for Ground Invasion

Iranian officials have responded defiantly to the ongoing attacks and diplomatic pressure. Ali Larijani, a senior Iranian political leader, stated that Iran’s forces are fully prepared for any potential ground invasion by the United States.

Larijani said that Iranian troops are “ready and waiting” for American forces if they attempt to escalate the conflict beyond aerial and naval operations. His comments suggest that Iran expects the possibility of further military escalation in the coming weeks.

Iranian leaders have repeatedly accused the United States and Israel of attempting to destabilize the country through military aggression. They have also warned that Iran will respond forcefully to any attacks on its territory or sovereignty.

    Rising Casualties and Regional Instability

The human cost of the war has been rapidly increasing. With the reported death toll in Iran surpassing 1,230, humanitarian organizations have raised serious concerns about civilian safety and access to essential resources.

Airstrikes and missile attacks have damaged residential areas, transportation networks, and critical infrastructure in several Iranian cities. Hospitals in affected regions are reportedly struggling to cope with the number of injured civilians and soldiers.

Meanwhile, retaliatory missile strikes launched by Iran have targeted locations linked to American and Israeli interests across the region. Some of these attacks have caused damage in neighboring countries, raising fears that the conflict could spread beyond Iran’s borders.

The rapidly escalating violence has prompted calls for restraint from international organizations and world leaders, who warn that the conflict could destabilize the entire Middle East.

    Drone Threats Near Saudi Arabia

Another sign of the widening conflict emerged when Saudi Arabia reported intercepting multiple drones near its capital city, Riyadh. Saudi defense forces successfully neutralized the drones before they could reach their targets.

Although authorities did not immediately confirm who launched the drones, analysts suspect they may have been part of the broader network of attacks linked to the ongoing confrontation between Iran and its regional rivals.

Saudi Arabia has been closely monitoring the situation because of its strategic alliance with the United States and its longstanding rivalry with Iran. The interception of drones near Riyadh highlights the risk that the conflict could expand into a regional war involving multiple countries.

    Missile and Air Base Incidents

Recent footage circulating on social media and international news outlets has shown a projectile exploding near Ali Al Salem Air Base in Kuwait, a facility that hosts American military forces. Although the explosion caused alarm in the area, early reports indicate that major casualties were avoided.

At the same time, US officials have claimed that Iranian missile attacks have dropped significantly following heavy airstrikes conducted by American B-2 stealth bombers. According to military statements, the number of Iranian missile launches has fallen by around 90 percent since the bombing campaign began.

Despite these claims, sporadic missile launches and drone attacks continue to be reported across the region. Several areas in Israel have experienced fires and infrastructure damage after suspected missile debris fell in populated zones.

    Growing International Concern

The intensifying conflict has alarmed governments around the world. Many countries fear that continued escalation could lead to a full-scale regional war involving multiple military alliances.

The situation has become even more sensitive following the recent killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, in a separate attack earlier in the conflict. His death has dramatically increased tensions within Iran and strengthened calls for retaliation among Iranian political and military leaders.

At the same time, diplomatic channels appear to be struggling to find a pathway toward de-escalation. Negotiations between global powers have made little progress as both sides continue to exchange attacks and threats.

    Strategic Implications

Analysts believe Trump’s offer of immunity could have several possible outcomes. If even a small number of Iranian security personnel accept the proposal, it could weaken Iran’s military cohesion and create internal instability.

However, if the offer is rejected—as many experts expect—it may instead reinforce Iranian unity against external pressure. Iranian leaders have historically framed such offers as attempts to undermine national sovereignty.

The proposal could also complicate future diplomatic negotiations. Offering immunity to military forces during an active conflict may be interpreted by some nations as interference in Iran’s internal affairs.

    Uncertain Path Ahead

As the war continues, the world is watching closely to see whether the situation escalates further or moves toward negotiations. The involvement of major powers such as the United States and Israel, combined with Iran’s determination to resist military pressure, makes the conflict one of the most dangerous geopolitical crises in recent years.

Trump’s announcement may represent an attempt to accelerate the collapse of Iran’s military resistance, but it remains unclear whether it will have any real impact on the battlefield.

For now, the region remains on high alert, with governments preparing for the possibility that the conflict could expand beyond its current borders.

With casualties rising, infrastructure being destroyed, and diplomatic tensions escalating, the coming days could prove critical in determining whether the war moves toward escalation—or whether international pressure finally pushes all sides toward a negotiated settlement.
