The extreme weather patterns are affecting agriculture and livelihoods in both regions. In North India, frost and prolonged cold conditions pose a risk to standing crops such as vegetables and mustard, while dense fog has reduced working hours for daily wage labourers.

In the south, farmers are monitoring rainfall closely, as heavy showers at this stage could impact harvest-ready crops. Agricultural departments have advised farmers to take precautionary measures to protect produce and livestock.
