Yugcharan News — The Union labour ministry has proposed new draft rules requiring gig and platform workers to complete a minimum number of working days in a financial year to become eligible for social security benefits. Under the proposal, workers engaged with a single aggregator must work at least 90 days, while those associated with multiple platforms must complete 120 days. The notification was released for public feedback amid ongoing demands from gig workers for improved working conditions and income security.
